SOCIAL MEDIA AND WEB WORK
KSJS
In February 2018, I was appointed to the position of Social Media Director at my college radio station, 90.5 FM KSJS. I served for two terms in the position, till February 2020.
The mission of KSJS is to provide students with a hands-on education in radio, communications and management. While learning, the students provide the community with information and music by local, independent and underrepresented artists.

As the Social Media Director, I aimed to entertain people with our content, but also to showcase and share new artists and music. I also played a large role in recruiting other students to join the station, and I wanted interested students to go to our pages and see how much fun and how many opportunities KSJS offered.

When I started in 2018, the KSJS Facebook page had 3.406 Likes and Instagram had 1,168 followers. By the end of my term in 2020, Facebook had grown to over 3,900 and Instagram had grown to over 1,550.

I also managed the website, ksjs.org, where I often put together collaborative blog posts for KSJS students to share their stories and express themselves. I would provide them with a prompt, and they would send me their answers to share. See the collaborative curation blog post below.

Roann Films is a boutique film and commercial production company that operates out of Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. I wrote the bio on the front page of their website.

I also worked with director Nick Martinez and designed his website nickmartinez.com from scratch. I used the website builder Wix.

As part of my public relations internship in the DBH Communications agency, I led a social media campaign for the SJSU Theatre's original production, "[dreamer] project: an Undocuplay." The play recounts the journeys of real undocumented students attending SJSU.
