Alpha Media and Copy Writing
From April 2018 to June 2020, I served as a promotions assistant at Alpha Media for the radio station Mix 106 and 94.5 Bay FM. In this position, I represented and promoted the two radio stations at public events. I engaged with listeners, updated social media and helped to ensure that events were running smoothly. Additionally, I worked at the front desk and helped contest winners fill out legal paperwork and pick up the prizes they had won on-air or online.

I also had the opportunity to learn from and work with the stations' production director, Gregg Aronica. You can listen to commercials I wrote and voiced for the stations below. They were edited and produced by Gregg.

DJing and Announcing
I was an active member of my college radio station, 90.5 FM KSJS, for the majority of my time at SJSU. For three years, I hosted a weekly four-hour-long radio show, "The Resistance with K-3PO," where I discussed pop culture (especially Star Wars) and played music from underground indie, emo and pop-punk artists. I have also included an aircheck of some bits for Mix 106. I have not been on-air at Mix 106, I have only voiced some commercials (see below), but I want to demonstrate I can also host for different formats, such as hot adult contemporary.
Audio Production
As a radio/film and media student, I received some training in audio production while I attended SJSU. Here are some pieces I produced in an audio production class using Pro Tools. Since we were moved online due to COVID-19, these were produced on my laptop

The first project here is a PSA I voiced and produced.

The second project was a postproduction project. The professor gave us this car commercial, but no audio was attached -- we had to write our own story for the commercial and produce our own audio. I pitched my voice down to act for our protagonist here, and I layered in various sounds to create the desert atmosphere and the startling explosion.

Video Editing
As a film minor, I spent a good number of hours learning the ins and outs of Adobe Premiere. Most recently I have used my video editing skills to put together music videos for the band I sing in, Voluntary Hazing. I also edited the audio for the two cover videos here.
